I'm all about some car shows! I love seeing all the great cars and trucks and talking to the owners. When I first started going to car shows I was intimidated because it seemed like everyone knew everyone else and I was the odd man out, then I realized that if someone would bring their … Continue reading C10 Club Meet in Knoxville, Advance Auto Parts Cruise-In
I have a 1964 Ford Falcon Futura 4 door that my mom bought in the late 70s as just a cheap around-town car. When I was about 13 or 14 Mom said she was thinking of selling it. Of course, that was MY car! I'd had my eye on it forever and I spent a … Continue reading In The Garage: The Falcon (Part 1)
If you have a 2004 (except Heritage) - 2008 Ford F150 or similar truck with power windows that work sporadically or not at all, then thispost is for you! A new master switch for the F150 isn't really all that expensive ($40 or so for a Dorman), but I'm always up for saving a … Continue reading Ford F150 Window Switch Repair

In the shop today, we had a 2001 Ford Windstar come in with a bad alternator. Normally, alternators fail by NOT charging. Not this one! Nope...this one was overcharging! Hooking up the voltmeter showed the alternator was putting out over 15 volts (normal is about 13.5-14ish)! Obviously there was a strong sulfur odor under the … Continue reading In the Shop: Windstar Belt, Tensioner, and Alternator
